Fibre connector and ferrule cleaning pen, 1,25 mm, LC and MU (+800 cleans)

Fiber optic cleaning pen which cleans the male or female side of a connector, for +800 cleanings. It removes contaminants by an easy push operation without damaging the delicate optical fiber core. The cleaner uses the mechanical push action to advance an optical grade dry cleaning tape while the cleaning tip is rotated to ensure the fiber end-face is effectively, but gently cleaned. It has an automatic advance feature which ensures each clean is performed with fresh cleaning tape.
Suitable to clean the ferrule inside an LC and MU adapter (female/receptacle), with the option to extend the nozzle to have an extra long reach. Secondly it can also be used for cleaning 1,25mm ferrule end face of a fiber optic patch cable, suitable for LC and MU… connectors (male). Includes an instruction manual.

Many issues in optical communications equipment are caused by contamination of the optical connector end face. A clean connector is critical to the reliability of any optical network architecture. The result of unclean connectors when mating is cross contamination of both connectors and potential damage like scratches to the ferrule end face.
