Optical loss test sets (OLTS) & handhelds

On one end of the link you need a light source, and on the other end an optical power meter. This test is required for fibre testing as an industry standard. Both the TIA and ISO standards use the term “Tier 1” to describe testing with an OLTS. They are often referred to as fibre certifiers, and are designed to help installation contractors, network engineers and IT maintenance technicians to certify installations in the fastest and most efficient manner possible. We have OLTS models within our portfolio from all of the main manufacturers such as Viavi, EXFO and Fluke. We stock variants ranging from the standard classic OLTS kit, through to models for MPO fibre certification. We have solutions to match your budget, as we can provide a variety of handhelds such as power meters, light sources and attenuators.
