Bit error rate test sets (BER, BERT)
A bit error ratio tester (BERT) is an electronic device that tests how error-free data transmission occurs in a digital circuit. It measures the pattern sensitivity to characterise the BER (bit error ratio or rate) of digital systems.
The configuration is used to perform compliance and manufacturing tests, design verification, and characterisation of high-speed communication ports. Specifically for ASICs, components, modules, and line-cards in the semiconductor, computer, storage, and communication industries. Whether you are working on data centre or computing interface technologies. You need either symbol rates up to 64 Gbaud with non-return-to-zero or PAM4 coding schemes or a test set that supports digital interfaces such as PCI Express, USB, MIPI, Thunderbolt, DisplayPort, SATA amongst others.
