The ARGUS F200 is a specialized selective power meter engineered for deployment in GPON and XGS-PON networks.
In its base configuration with 2x OPM (filtered), it determines the PON-ID (PON Identifier according to ITU-T G.984.3/G.9807.1) for both GPON and XGS-PON, enabling precise identification of the correct OLT port.
Furthermore, insertion loss is measured and verified at wavelengths of 1490 nm and 1577 nm. This ensures reliable testing for continuity, mispatches, and signal/attenuation levels in compliance with ZTV43 (Level-ID Test / PIT).
Via software upgrade, the device can be expanded to measure additional wavelengths using a supplementary broadband diode.
The ARGUS F200 can also be upgraded with the PON-FMT option to support automated testing and measurement sequences according to ZTV43.

For scenarios where the device is additionally required for the provision and activation process of subscriber lines, an optional ONT simulation is available.
Utilizing either a GPON or XGS-PON transceiver, this feature executes a complete terminal device simulation, including IP ping, traceroute, FTP/HTTP upload/download, or IP speed tests exceeding 500 Mbps.
In accordance with TR-069, the device can automatically connect to the Deutsche Telekom Auto Configuration Server (ACS) to retrieve the profile required for the line configuration.

Our user interface utilizes freely configurable tiles, allowing technicians to launch the correct measurement profile instantly – making operation simple, fast, and error-free.
Clearly structured results can be transferred via Wi-Fi to smartphones, central servers, or the ARGUS App.

Additional Test Features
Additionally, the ARGUS F200 features built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi management.
The USB interface also allows the connection of the optional Fiber Inspection Tool (FIT) – a video microscope that detects scratches and defects on optical fibers, displaying them both as an image and in a tabular overview.
