Inside sales representative

🎯 Your role

You will manage existing customer relationships and actively reach out to potential new clients. You’ll listen to their needs, prepare tailored quotations and follow up to turn opportunities into lasting partnerships. You’ll work closely with the Account Manager, Inside Sales Manager and Product Management to give customers well-informed advice.

Your responsibilities include:

• Handling incoming customer enquiries and identifying commercial opportunities.
• Understanding customers’ technical requirements and translating these into appropriate commercial solutions.
• Preparing and following up on quotations, and negotiating prices and terms within agreed margins.
• Proactively contacting existing customers to identify new requirements and opportunities.
• Prospecting for new customers through phone, email and other channels.
• Building strong, long-term customer relationships.
• Supporting external sales colleagues with customer and opportunity development.
• Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and customer information within our CRM.
• Ensuring a smooth handover of confirmed orders to the administration team and providing follow-up for key accounts.
• Identifying opportunities to cross-sell Rentaltec’s wider capabilities.
• Building your product and technical knowledge so you can advise customers confidently.

👤 What you bring

• A technical background gained through education and/or professional experience.
• Previous experience in inside sales, B2B sales, account management or another commercial customer-facing position.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a genuine focus on the customer.
• A proactive rather than reactive approach to sales
• Good organisational skills and disciplined follow-up
• The ability to understand technical questions, solve problems and manage several priorities at once.
• A collaborative mindset and a sense of ownership: you follow matters through until they are fully resolved.
• The ability to communicate confidently with customers in Dutch, English & French. The more languages you can confidently work in, the better.
• Basic MS Office skills. Experience with CRM & ERP systems, particularly HubSpot, is an advantage.
• Previous Test & Measurement experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.

The right person for this role will see an incoming enquiry as the beginning of a commercial conversation rather than simply something that needs to be processed.

You will be naturally curious about both the technical requirement and the commercial opportunity.
